I am so proud that my mum was one of the knitters involved in this super special yarn bomb.  See more beautiful images of this awesome ‘bomb’ here. Such a fantastic way of raising awareness for such a valuable cause, and one so easily forgotten until crisis point. If there is one good thing you want to do this year, give blood. It IS the difference between life and death. Find out where and when you can next give blood and make it happen.

Start saving lives

Anyone aged between 17 – 65, weighing more than 50 kg (7 stone 12lbs) and in general good health could potentially start saving lives by becoming a blood donor.

There is no upper age limit for donors who have donated in the last two years.

Register online and search for your nearest donation session. Once you have registered you can book an appointment online or call the Donor Line on 0300 123 23 23.
Stop making excuses and roll up your sleeves. Go.
