Refund and Returns Policy
All MumblesMummy items are custom made by hand. Please read all descriptions fully before purchase. I will not be held responsible due to misread or understood details.
MUMBLESMUMMY DOES NOT ACCEPT REFUNDS/RETURNS – however, if there is an issue, I’ll do my best to help come to a mutually agreeable solution. In exceptional circumstances, exchanges may be made on Ready-to-Ship items if the item is in unworn, unused, packaged condition, if authorization has been given by MumblesMummy in advance.
Refunds/Exchanges are not offered on custom/personalized items. These are created to your specifications, which involves a great deal of communication, and plenty of opportunities to discuss and make changes before the item is posted out.
All custom orders are secured by a 50% non-refundable deposit. Payment plans are available on request to spread the cost of the deposit and/or balance. Work will not begin on your order until a minimum of 50% of the full invoice is paid. The item will not be shipped until the full amount of the order (including postage) is paid IN FULL.
Digital Pattern Downloads sales are final and non refundable. Please ensure all codes have been entered correctly, as discounts cannot be applied after payment has been taken.
Merchandise items available from external sites will be subject to the refund policies of the sites, and must be done according to that sites protocol.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to the original method of payment, within a certain amount of days, depending on payment type.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items
Only full priced items may be refunded. Sale items will not be refunded.
Exchanges
I only replace items if they are defective or damaged unless the item description contains details of such defects i.e. a pre-owned craft supply or pattern book. Since most items are one-offs, an exchange of the same item wont be possible, but a credit note or gift card may be arranged in lieu. Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Shipping returns
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. The impact of Covid has caused delays in many areas so please be aware of this when placing your order, as I will NOT tolerate entitled or abusive communication because the post was delayed. That’t not within my control. I can only help you track the item.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. I don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and will not refund an item that hasn’t been received.
